On February 17, 2020, Yamaman Co., Ltd. opened their first overseas project “Wishton Hotel Yangon”, a Japanese-style hotel at Yangon, Myanmar’s largest city. The hotel is managed by the local subsidiary Hotel Yamaman.
Located at one of the fastest growing areas in Yangon, the hotel is halfway between Yangon International Airport and the downtown area. It is an hour’s drive from the traffic congested downtown area to the Thilawa Special Economic Zone where Japanese companies gather.
Mainly targeted towards Japanese business travelers, the front desk staff can speak Japanese and the breakfast buffet is prepared by a Japanese chef. All 91 rooms also have Japanese unit baths to relax.
The hotel has 91 rooms and a restaurant, as well as meeting rooms and a gym / laundry corner. There are three types of rooms: superior, deluxe, and suites. The 46 rooms are equipped with a kitchen, microwave, and washing machine for long-term stays.
